This little gal I named Lettie is about a year old and prob a Maltese mix, about 10 #. She was found by the police in a plastic cage in her owners yard cooking in the hot sun all day with no water, she was seriously underweight also so they took her to a county shelter where she sat for a week. She arrived at my shelter completely covered in excrement and seriously matted to the skin. Lettie is a darling girl and very sweet and will need some patience and love. She has been extremely clean at Lake Haven, never soiling her inside or outside kennel but going instead to the grassy area. She has been very sweet with handling and is good with other dogs. She needs a small fenced in area, and someone around a lot. If you think you would be a good fit apply at Final note : She is now in foster and is great with her dogs and loves her cat. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and LETTIE was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, LETTIE’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the LETTIE’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, LETTIE’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
