About this Dog
Meet Lucy A Loyal Lapdog Looking for Her PersonAt 4 years old (3 years and 11 months), Lucy is a sensitive and devoted French Bulldog who’s looking for a quiet, stable home where she can feel safe and loved. She’s a total lap dog who wants nothing more than to be close to her person, ideally snuggled under the covers or curled up next to you in bed. She’s lived her life indoors with a family, never crated, and prefers her freedom over the confines of a kennel.Lucy is housebroken (bell trained!) and does well when left alone in the home, free-roaming, not crated. She can be nervous around loud noises and new situations, so she needs a calm, low-traffic environment. Lucy gets anxious with large dogs and is selective with new canine friends, though she’s lived peacefully with a calm cat and lived with another small dog. She can be reactive if startled, especially when sleeping or during handling like baths, nail trims, or ear cleaning, so she’ll need a patient, understanding adopter. She knows basic commands like sit, off, and get down. She loves treats and toys (especially plush ones and bones) and even rides better in the car now, seated securely in a bucket seat.Lucy would thrive in a home with: • A fenced-in yard (a big plus!) • No kids (they make her anxious) • Someone home more often than not (she bonds deeply to her person) • Preferably an experienced dog owner who can continue to work with her sensitivitiesLucy’s the kind of dog who will give her whole heart to the person she trusts. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to share your couch and your quiet moments, Lucy may just be your girl! You may find me on our website under "ADOPT

100% of Lucy's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Lucy.
Adopt Lucy and Receive Lucy's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Lucy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Lucy's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Lucy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Lucy's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lucy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lucy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Lucy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lucy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
