Sometimes the perfect kitten (or in this case kittens) and you aren't sure what it is, but you just need to meet them. This is the case with Firestar and Jiggles. These 2 are about 8 months old, and are a bonded pair from North Carolina. They came to us with no back ground information and they were scared out of their mind (for obvious reasons, they just survived a hurricane in the middle of North Carolina and then transported in a van full of barking dogs). Since settling in at Noah and realizing that we were willing to give them all the time, treats, food, love and attention they needed, they have been the best kittens you could find!They have had some medical challenges (southern allergies, colds and temperatures are way different than here in Michigan) at the beginning, but they came out stronger and in our opinion much lovier (yup, that is a word) than before. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Jiggles was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Jiggles’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Jiggles’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Jiggles’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
