About this Dog
This is Max ( 2 years old I believe i need to double check) he spent the beginning of his life abused and was left in a horrible condition outside a shelter in chicago, thankfully he was fixed up and has healed very nicely but his days at the shelter were coming to an end and he was put on the the list to be euthanized. My mother seen him on FB and her heart told her to rescue him so she did just that. With a round trip of 10 hours, potty breaks and a cheeseburger Max was finally home in Michigan. He is very loveable, has tons of energy and is a good boy. Sadly they did not tell my mom that he has a fear of bigger men and has began showing aggression to males ( but he adores my husband and has never shown any aggression with him) Sadly this is putting my mom in a sad place as all she wanted to do was save him and give him the life every dog should have, but now she fears the aggression he is showing. He is up to date on shots and is fixed and chipped as well. He does well around other dogs ( he's very submissive around them) no idea on cats and children. He loves car rides and belly rubs and kisses. Vet suggested Prozac for him and even though he has calmed down and is not so hyper the aggression is something she can not handle on her own with her medical issues and he is too strong of a dog if something were to happen. She would love to find a rescue or person who has worked with dogs like this with a promise to not put him down. He needs a loving place and to be worked with for his behavior He is a great dog and loves women ( as the shelter he is from was staff of all women) he knows sit. Lay and give paw. Have all his records from the shelter and all records since she has adopted him. Can anyone please point me in the right direction he is too sweet and deserves the best. Lapeer County

Adopt Max and Receive Max's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Max's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$9 is Max's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Max, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Max's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Max was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Max’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Max’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Max’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
