About this Cat
My son has 3 cats. They are male. He found Angus on Craigslist. The male cats would always fight with Angus. When he took the cat to get spayed he discovered Angus was a female. One day he asked me to get Angus in the morning after I got out of work. It wasn't a good day for me, but he had said I needed to pick her up now. That was about 4 months ago. I am a dog person. I know nothing about cats. I have been trying to rehome Angus since I got her. No takers from family, friends, or coworkers. I don't want to surrender her to animal control only to be killed. She is a sweet cat, but my dogs (there is one in particular, a Dutch Shepherd, who tries to chase her when she comes out of her cat room (I have a child gate up so she can roam, but the dogs cannot come in her room). To complicate this matter, we have barn cats. When one gets out, the dogs (I have 4 dogs) have chase and killed several cats in the wee hours of the night when we are not out with the dogs. This is a good cat, but I think it's a stressful situation for the family, including the fur babies.

How will Angus receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Angus, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Angus's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Angus was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Angus’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Angus’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Angus’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
