About this Dog
Meet Slim – the Sweetest Survivor Please note: The second photo is a BEFORE picture—Slim is healthy and thriving now! From the streets of Detroit to a journey of healing, Slim has been through more than most—but you’d never know it by the way his tail wags. This stunning Cane Corso came to us severely emaciated, weighing under 40 pounds when he should have been closer to 100. But Slim didn’t let that hardship define him. Despite everything, all he knows is love. Slim is a true gentle giant in the making. He adores other dogs—yes, even the tiny 20-pounders—and plays with them like he’s one of the pack. He’s goofy, affectionate, and loves rolling around on his back with his favorite toys. If there’s attention to be had, Slim is all in! He’s still gaining weight and working toward his healthy goal of around 100 pounds, but he’s well on his way and doing great. His spirit is strong, his belly is full, and his heart is even fuller. ✅ Good with dogs ✅ Kid-friendly (ages 10+ recommended due to his size) ✅ Toy enthusiast and belly-rub champion ✅ Ready to find his forever home Please note: The second photo is a BEFORE picture—Slim is healthy and thriving now! Help us find this incredible boy the loving home he deserves. Could it be with you?

100% of Slim's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Slim.
Adopt Slim and Receive Slim's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Slim's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Slim's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Slim, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Slim's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Slim was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Slim’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Slim’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Slim’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
