About this Dog
Leo Needs a New Home
We are looking to rehome Leo, and this is not an easy decision because he is truly a really good guy. ❤️
We adopted Leo from a military member who was moving and was unable to take him along. Unfortunately, we have realized that our family just isn’t the right fit for him.
Leo is a big, lovable dog who is somewhat spatially unaware of his size. He loves people and likes to show his affection by jumping up on your chest for hugs. He has a wonderful personality, but because he doesn’t always realize how big he is, he could unintentionally knock a small child over. For that reason, I believe he would do best with someone who has older children or no young children.
Leo knows several commands and loves working for treats. He can:
- Shake with either paw - Sit - Lay down - Spin
He is housebroken, up to date on his vaccinations, microchipped, and intact.
He does need continued training, particularly with leash walking, as he tends to pull. He would do best with someone who is confident, assertive, patient, and has the time and energy to give him plenty of exercise and continued training.
Leo is not a bad dog. He is a big, goofy, affectionate guy who needs a home where his size, energy, and personality are a better match. I truly wish he fit our family because he is such a good boy, but with my autistic son, it just isn't the right situation for either of them.
We want to find him a loving, responsible forever home rather than simply place him somewhere quickly. Please message me if you are genuinely interested and can provide Leo with the time, structure, exercise, and love he deserves.

How will Leo receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Leo, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Leo's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Leo was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Leo’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Leo’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Leo’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
