About this Dog
Harriet is currently in a foster home. If you would like to meet her, please call the shelter to set up an appointment.Harriet is seeking a patient home experienced with positive reinforcement training to provide her with the support and love that it will take to relax into a routine and start the next part of her life's journey on the right foot. She is a fearful dog who is very affectionate once she feels safe enough to trust that she won't be hurt.OTHER PETS: Harriet is a high-energy dog with a strong and intense personality, especially around other dogs sheâs met here at TJO. Her interactions tend to be overwhelming for canine companions, so sheâs looking for a home where she can be the only pet. Harriet thrives best as the center of attention. [Should Be Only Pet]OWNER EXPERIENCE: Harriet will need an experienced owner preferably someone who has experience with German shepherds and positive reinforcement. She is a very anxious dog and would do best in an active home with someone who has the time and patience to help her build confidence and learn new skills. [Experienced]KIDS: Harriet can be jumpy when excited and shows intensity around food, so sheâ ll do best with an adopter who can help her decompress and manage these behaviors with consistency and care. [Adults Only]ACTIVITY LEVEL:Active dogs thrive in a variety of activities and mental enrichment to meet all their needs. From positive reinforcement training to agility courses, mental and phsyical activities can keep them mentally and physically engaged while strengthening their bond with their guardians. [Good Walking Buddy / Olympic Athlete]VETERINARY CARE: [Routine] LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive reinforcement training is a powerful method for strengthening the bond between you and your dog. By rewarding desired behaviors with treats, praise, and/or play, your dog learns to associate you with positive experiences, fostering trust and affection. This approach not only encourages good behavior but also creates a positive and enjoyable learning environment, reducing stress and anxiety. Adopt HARRIET and Receive HARRIET's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, HARRIET's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is HARRIET's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the HARRIET, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming HARRIET's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and HARRIET was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, HARRIET’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the HARRIET’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, HARRIET’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
