About this Dog

Looking to rehome our 8 year old Black Lab/German Shepherd mix, Maisie. We’ve had her for three months and prior to that, she lived with one family up until she started displaying gaurding behavior with their newborn baby. She is very sweet and attentive the majority of the time but she just has not adjusted well to her new living situation. Recently, she has been very reactive towards me and my roommates without any clear provocation. She walks 2-4 miles a day but I do not have a fenced in yard for her to run and I think she would benefit greatly from that. I also live in a small apartment so I think she would also benefit from having more space to roam. I’m a travel nurse and change locations every several months so I feel that with each move, I would be starting from square one and she would never fully adjust and it wouldn’t be fair to her. I think that she would thrive in a stable home and with someone that’s more knowledgeable about dogs. She doesn’t do well with other dogs but has become less reactive towards them since we put her in training to the point that she mostly ignores them on our walks. All shots are up to date and she has a clean bill of health from the vet as recent as one month ago. She knows basic commands such as sit, lay down, paw, go to your spot, get behind, with me, and “get dressed” when it’s time to put her harness on to go for a walk. Up until her previous family had their baby, she hadn’t shown any aggressive behavior with them so I think that with the right owner or owners, she would do really well. Unfortunately, I just can’t offer what she needs at this time. Located in Weymouth, MA.

How will Black Lab/German Shepherd receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Black Lab/German Shepherd, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Black Lab/German Shepherd's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Black Lab/German Shepherd was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Black Lab/German Shepherd’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Black Lab/German Shepherd’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses.
