About this Dog
Meet Sausage! Sausage is approximately 5-6 years old, 60 lbs currently and he may have some Mountain Cur in his mix (but really is a mutt)! Sausage was surrendered because the other dog in the house did not like him. He also was Heartworm positive. He has been treated and is ready for his forever home! In his foster home, he is working hard on his house-training, crate training and leash walking. He could go to a home with kids 10+ and other dogs. No cats please! His foster says, "Even though he's had a rough last few years, you would never know because he is so sweet, kind, and gentle and it never even broke his spirit. He's a good old boy. He loves to play. He really loves to eat! He is very food motivated. He's got "sit" down pretty good but you have to have treats or he won't do it. He doesn't mind playing with other dogs that are around his size. He's never chewed anything up. He's lovable and he loves to be loved on. Sausage has seen all of his friends from the shelter find their loving homes. Now sausage is looking for his forever home. He just want somebody to love him and take care of him so that he can give all of his love back to them and trust me he has a lot of love to give." He is available for adoption in Fitchburg or Hopkinton, MA by appointment with an approved adopter. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step. -Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises. -Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt. - More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Adopt Sausage and Receive Sausage's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sausage's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Sausage's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Sausage, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Sausage's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sausage was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sausage’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Sausage’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sausage’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
