That's because Doby is a burrower - he loves to huddle up under his blanket, or snuggle deep in his bed. However, if you introduce yourself quietly, Doby will very quickly demonstrate his biscuit making abilities, flexing his cute litte feet and purring. This shy little guy will need support and encouragement, but Doby is so sweet that it's well worth the effort!Doby is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team.For more information on Doby or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.Watch little Doby making big biscuits!

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, DOBY's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and DOBY was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, DOBY’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the DOBY’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, DOBY’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
