This sweet, brindle girl may take some time to warm up, but once she does, her silly and playful side is sure to shine through. Millie is the perfect mix of active and snuggly, and will make a great adventure buddy. Shell need some time to settle in first, as new people, places and dogs can initially be a bit worrisome for her. Millie loves to take a sniffy stroll through quieter areas of our shelter campus, and has also done well on walks with other well-matched dogs while in our care. Whether youre looking for an action star or a couch potato, stop by our Cape Cod Adoption Center during open hours to see if Millie might be the gal for you! Stop by our Cape Cod Adoption Center to meet Millie Mae. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 1pm-4pm - no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available pets. Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and MILLIE MAE was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, MILLIE MAE’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the MILLIE MAE’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, MILLIE MAE’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
