Itâs not uncommon for a spirit cat to get used to one or two people over time, and those people will be allowed to touch them and they may even choose to hang out near you or sleep on your bed at night. They are a great choice for people with a quiet household, who want to make a difference for an individual cat. Patience and understanding are the best tools when welcoming a spirit cat into your home. Itâs important to know that spirit cats wonât magically turn into a normal acting cat â what you see is what you get for a long time, maybe always. They are a fine choice for situations where you donât have a lot of time to devote to a pet as they donât require a lot of attention from humans. They are not a good choice for a busy home, including those with small children.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and MAGPIE MOTH was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, MAGPIE MOTH’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the MAGPIE MOTH’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, MAGPIE MOTH’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
