He’s playful, energetic, and full of personality—always ready to make you laugh with his goofy antics. Whether he’s tossing around a squeaky toy or zooming across the yard, Mort puts his whole heart into having fun.Mort enjoys the company of other dogs. He’s social and submissive, and picks up on cues well from his canine friends. He has also lived with a cat and mostly keeps to himself, making him a good fit for homes with or without other pets. Mort would likely do well with dog-savvy kids because he is a young guy still learning his puppy manners. This happy guy knows “sit,” “lay down,” “drop it,” and “place,” and is always eager to learn more—especially when food is involved. He loves walks and is always excited to explore, though he does occasionally burst into a joyful sprint just because he can. Mort is crated for a few hours during the day and overnight, and while he may whine a little at first, he settles quickly. He’s house trained and continues to do well on a consistent schedule.Mort is a lovable whirlwind of fun who thrives with clear structure and daily activity. If you're looking for a dog with a big heart, a goofy spirit, and lots of love to give, Mort just might be your guy. Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Mort Moreland, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Mort Moreland's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mort Moreland was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mort Moreland’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Mort Moreland’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mort Moreland’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
