About this Dog
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Yes (13+)Crate trained: MostlyHouse Trained: YesMaxine is a sweet, reserved gal who loves her humans once she feels comfortable. She is doing well being fostered in a multi-dog home and has adapted well to northern life. She is looking for a patient, calmer home who’s excited to help her build her confidence and advocate for her space.Maxine is a medium-energy pup, where she loves to romp in the yard but is content with chilling nearby with a bone or toy. After a proper introduction, she gets along with other pups. Because Maxine is shy at first and needs a minute to meet newer humans, she would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy kids over the age of 13 who can respect her boundaries and let her come to them on her own terms. She is food-motivated and eager to please, so training should be a treat! She is crated occasionally during the day and overnight, where she may whine or cry at first but settles quickly. Maxine is housetrained and has no accidents when taken out on a regular schedule and routine. She is working hard on her leash manners and improving quickly. She would do great with an owner who’s excited to continue her training and provide extra guidance as she navigates her new environment.Maxine’s soulful brown eyes and cute dobby ears will have you falling in love with her in no time- is she the next member of your family? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org. Adopt Maxine and Receive Maxine's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Maxine's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Maxine's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Maxine, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Maxine's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Maxine was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Maxine’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Maxine’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Maxine’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
