He’s a happy-go-lucky boy who loves to be around people and dogs alike. While he has plenty of puppy energy and adores playtime, he’s also great at settling down for a nap when it’s time to rest. Goose would thrive in a home ready to continue his training, give him structure, and of course, lots of love.He loves playing chase, wrestling, or sharing toys with his doggie buddies, and he’s especially fond of running around outside with his siblings. He’s been friendly with every human he’s met and has also interacted well with children between ages 6 and 13. Gooseberry takes cues well from other dogs and tends to give space if another dog doesn’t seem interested in being friends. He’s seen cats and didn’t show much interest, so he would likely do well in a home with a dog-savvy cat.Gooseberry is a quick learner and already knows cues like “sit,” “stay,” “down,” and “no.” He’s incredibly perceptive and seems to understand both people and pups with ease. He is house trained and crate trained, comfortably spending 5–6 hours in his crate during the day and sleeping in it at night. Gooseberry walks well on a leash and enjoys getting out and about with his humans.This gentle, loving pup has stolen his foster’s heart, and he’s sure to steal yours too. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Gooseberry Jam was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Gooseberry Jam’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Gooseberry Jam’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Gooseberry Jam’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
