About this Dog
07/01/2025 - UPDATE - Hello everyone. I am loving all of the TLC that I am getting from the wonderful staff at the vet. I am feeling so much better. I am walking well. I am alert, happy and back to my wiggle-butt self. I am gaining weight, and my fur feels so much better. I still need some time for my skin to heal completely, but I am moving forward. I am still looking for a place to rest my head. I want a home to make the remainder of my senior years as comfortable as possible and give me all of the love I missed for the first 11 years of my life. Can you help me? MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone. My name is Toby, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I am a senior, and I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. I have NOT been well cared for. I am underweight. I have severe dental disease. I have a skin infection and an enlarged heart and a grade 5 of 6 heart murmur. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. I need someone who can show me that people can be loving and caring. I need a retirement home where someone can feed me healthy food, give me my medications to help me feel comfortable, and love me like no one else ever has. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. Adopt Toby and Receive Toby's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Toby's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Toby's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Toby, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Toby's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Toby was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Toby’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Toby’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Toby’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
