About this Cat
Marcey (previously named Purssey(?)) came into my life in May of this year. She is soooo sweet with me and loves lovings. She was left behind by her previous owner with very little information about her, most importantly that she needs to be an only cat. I already have two cats that she isn't happy about. I've probably tried almost every trick in the book, and after 3 months, I have realized that she needs (and deserves) a home without other cats (dogs unknown) so she can roam freely.
Here is what I do know about her: -13 years old or so -6.4 lbs on 06/29/2026 -Vaccinations done in June of this year (can provide paperwork for that) -Found out that all but 3 or 4 teeth in the back are missing. Vet recommended extraction, but confirmed that this is not causing her pain. She still eats dry food just fine. Otherwise, the vet didn't find any other health problems. -Would rather give lovings than play 🥰 -Found out she needs gabapentin before vet appointments with needles to relax her (I have a couple to send with her for next visit). I'd love to keep her, but I need to rehome her by September.

Adopt Marcey and Receive Marcey's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Marcey's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

How will Marcey receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Marcey, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Marcey's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Marcey was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Marcey’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Marcey’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Marcey’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
