About this Dog
MEET SPICE! Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice is the perfect description of this little lady. Initially found wandering alone in a cemetery in WV, Spice was brought to the local shelter. Another rescue saw her plight and pulled her where she was put into a foster home and got the love and care that she deserves. Unfortunately, that rescue has since closed and Spice became a Tara’s House dog. Spice is approximately eighteen months young and is a healthy mixed breed girl. We see possible signs of German Shepherd and/or Rottweiler, although she is smaller than those breeds typically are. She weighs ~40 lbs and thinks she is convinced she is a lap dog! Spice is very intelligent, and has learned several commands like “Sit, Down, Off and Leave It”. Spice is crate trained and potty trained. When it's time for bed she'll take three treats, please! One for each paw shake and the last in her room to keep under her pillow. She is eager to learn and will respond well to positive reinforcement. She is enthusiastic and loves to please her humans. Her other favorite pastimes include playing with toys and kids while running around in the yard. When she comes back inside all she wants to do is snuggle and give kisses. She wants to be in whatever room her humans are occupying, even in bed if that’s ok by you. Spice will adapt to whatever schedules you have whether it's week day or weekend. Spice is a great balance of joy and affection and would make a wonderful addition to any family, especially those with children and other dogs. She has a wonderful playful side and loves to stay active. So if you're looking for a baby Spice, a sporty Spice or a posh Spice look no further. Your Spice girl is here waiting to love you. Spice’s adoption donation fee is $450, which includes spay/neuter, routine vetting and a microchip. You can apply for Spice by filling out our online application, which is found on our website www.tarashouse.org. Please email us at [email protected] with any questions.

Adopt Spice and Receive Spice's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Spice's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Spice's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Spice, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Spice's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Spice was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Spice’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Spice’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Spice’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
