About this Dog
TY (watch my video!) Male, neutered 2-1/2 years old Pit bull terrier 78 lbs. Microchipped, up-to-date on core vaccines and takes monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention Crate trained, leash trained Good with other large dogs, adults and kids. Untested with cats and small dogs Follow Ty on Instagram at #lovepaws_ty Ty is the heartbreaker you didn’t see coming! He is a beautiful boy with a spirit that's larger than life. This handsome guy is on a quest for his forever home and his person to give him the love and purpose he’s been dreaming of. Why Ty is Special: Ty is resilient, adaptive, joyful and 100% unforgettable. After overcoming abandonment, kennel cough and narrowly escaping the euthanasia list, this 2-1/2-year-old champ wakes up every day ready to celebrate life and most of all, please you. He’s tender, *very* smart, and a stellar companion who will inspire you in a hundred different ways. A Day in the Life of This Gentle Trooper: Ty keeps time better than a clock. Your time, that is. When you go to bed, he goes to bed. When you get up, there he is. Upon rising, he checks on his toy collection and is then ready to hop on his day. He is the BFF you can count on, rain or shine (though he strongly prefers shine). Tyson has an incredible physique and loves to employ his strength. He enjoys walking, sprinting, hiking, climbing, hunting, agility drills, scent work and water play. In his downtime, he is a no-maintenance napper but like any good BFF, he’s always got an eye on you. No lazy dog here. When it’s time to go, Ty is your #1 copilot. Whether you travel by car, truck, semi, boat, or spaceship, Tyson is in it to win it. He is well-mannered and sports the classic windblown-lip look. Evenings call for a hearty dinner and a game of tug-o-war before winding down with a good blanket. His Forever Home: At two and half years old, there are still so many firsts for you and Ty to experience together. New tastes, new places – Ty makes the mundane exciting again as he experiences your life anew. In a forever home, he will thrive as the beloved family dog, participating in fun activities like playing fetch, learning new things and snuggling. He’s great with kids and can be great with other dogs, but will need your guidance to learn his place in the fam. Ty has no known medical problems and is a total joy to care for. Easy is his middle name. Strengths include being crate trained, leash trained, long leash training in progress, and he knows his basic commands. He is going to thrive as he learns your routine, too. Though Ty is being socialized and trained in public now, he can be territorial as guests enter the home. This will need your attention. Like all dogs, Ty will benefit from further consistent training. However, he is so utterly deserving, training this boy will be a labor of love – the best part of your day, and his. Yep, I just checked. He is right here suggesting that too much computer time is unnatural, and we ought to get after it. He’s not wrong. His Forever Farm: Alternatively, farm life would be appealing to Ty. He would happily take on the important role of pest control. This loyal boy has the tenacity to help keep unwanted rodents at bay while still being an unflappable companion. Picture him running through the fields as a key member of a team keeping your land safe and sound! The Magic of Ty: The real deal can’t be put into words. You must see him to fully understand. He is not only a feast for the eyes but presents with a calm energy and big guy presence. To know him is to love him. Let’s Find the Right Fit! If you are looking to add a devoted member to your family or need a dependable mate for your land, let’s talk. Ty is searching for someone to help him make good decisions and become the best version of himself. Specific skill training is available. Let’s meet! Interested in adopting? Of course you are! Adopt Ty and Receive Ty's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Ty's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Ty's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Ty, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Ty's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ty was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ty’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Ty’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ty’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
