About this Cat
Beanie is the epitome of a "manual lap cat" - she'll nestle on your chest, snuggle in your embrace, or doze off beside you, all at your loving touch. Her preference for this cozy connection comes from her transition to indoor living, where she's still adjusting to being an "active lap cat." Her early days as a stray ingrained in her a "run and hide" instinct. However, even that couldn't shield her from a harrowing hawk attack earlier this year. She was quite literally relying on her front legs alone, with several bleeding wounds on her back. Fortunately, a vigilant neighbor spotted her condition and promptly took her to a veterinarian. Through the care and dedication of many, she triumphed over her pain and wounds, making a remarkable recovery. Adapting to indoor life and becoming more social was like learning a new language for Beanie. Without a resident cat to guide her, she bravely navigated this path alone. Thankfully, her efforts paid off as she blossomed into a more affectionate kitty over time. Beanie's love for food is evident as she eagerly heads to her bowl at the sound of kibble dropping. Her cute short meow adds charm to her mealtime chats. Survival brings blessings. Despite the ordeal of the hawk attack, Beanie found caring hands. Her courage triumphed over pain, and now she awaits a loving forever home of her own. The adoption fee for a cat is $150, which helps with the costs of routine medical care. ***Please note that the first step in the process is to complete our nonbinding application (it does not commit you in any way, but allows us to help you to find a great match). Our application review process also includes a veterinary reference check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives (if applicable) and examined annually by your vet.*** Cats adopted through PetConnect Rescue must be indoor only, and may not be declawed (unless already declawed at the time of rescue). **If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.petconnectrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Adopt Beanie Baby and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Beanie Baby's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Beanie Baby's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Beanie Baby, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Beanie Baby's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Beanie Baby was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Beanie Baby’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Beanie Baby’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Beanie Baby’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
