DESCRIPTION: Lovely Zazoo lived in a loving home with kids and another dog. Unfortunately, when the family was unable to remain in their home, they could not find housing that would allow them to keep their dogs. As a result, they made the difficult decision to surrender the dogs to a local shelter. This is never an easy decision. However, sometimes families have simply run out of options. Shelter staff welcomed Zazoo into their care and made sure she had everything she needed to meet with success. Unfortunately, with shelters sitting at or above capacity, staff knew that Zazoo would be most successful if she was placed within a breed specific rescue. Knowing Zazoo would be a great addition to the MAGSR family, our team was thrilled to welcome her. Zazoo is a stunning girl. Friendly, active, and smart this lady truly embodies the traits of a GSD. As is true of most shepherds, Zazoo will be most successful in a home that will exercise both her body and her mind on a daily basis. This will help her maintain her stable and confident personality. Having lived in a home previously, Zazoo did well with the children in the home. However, as is typical of the breed, she can be protective of the household. With some clear prey drive in place, Zazoo is not suited for a home with small animals or cats. She is already housebroken, crate trained, and knows many of the ins and outs of living in a home. It is important that her forever family, provide her with structure, routine, and leadership so that Zazoo can adapt to the expectations of her forever home. Well aquainted with toys, Zazoo loves to play and can entertain herself or interact with others. Although Zazoo lived in a home, she does need to learn some leash manners. Our team is already starting this process. Training will go a long way with Zazoo. Not only will training help her develop the skills needed to become a good canine citizen, it will also help her build a strong and healthy bond with her forever family. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Zazoo was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Zazoo’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Zazoo’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Zazoo’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
