About this Dog
Zeus was originally surrendered to a shelter because his owners no longer had the time to care for him. We rescued him back in 2019 and he was adopted. Unfortunately, we've now learned Zeus is uneasy around toddlers and his adopters feel he'd be happier in a home without young children. Zeus would like a home who will give him daily walks. At nine years old he's moderate energy level but still likes to play. He is good on a leash. He likes other dogs but a meet and greet with any dogs already in the home is recommended. He'd also be fine as an only dog if he got lots of human attention and exercise. Indoors Zeus enjoys lounging on the couch and occasionally stealing human yummies when you're not looking! He's not overly vocal and likes to roam his fenced back yard. He's housebroken and still loves his toys. Zeus can become protective of his home with strangers. This isn't a bad quality but something any adopter will need to manage by putting him in a different room or crate until he calms and then doing introductions to new people on a leash. Treats help to win him over! Zeus would make a great companion dog to someone who is looking for a pup past the crazy Husky stage! He's a big boy and weighs 79lbs. Zeus is located in Maryland. Inquiries can be sent to [email protected]. Apply to adopt at www.huskyrescueteam.org

Adopt Zeus and Receive Zeus's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Zeus's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Zeus's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Zeus, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Zeus's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Zeus was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Zeus’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Zeus’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Zeus’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
