Scheduled for euthanasia the morning we saved him, Sven didn’t get a second chance because he messed up, he got it because we showed up. The shelter was out of space. Sven was out of time. This 3½-year-old Siberian Husky is a soulful stunner with bi-eyes and a buttery-soft face, but his real charm is in his vibe. For a Husky, Sven’s chill. Like… surprisingly chill. He’s happy to lounge, soak up snuggles, and just be with you. Zoomies happen. But mostly? Sven’s got an old soul in a young body. Gets along with friendly dogs Not tested with cats or small animals Learning indoor life & doing great Food-motivated & eager to please Doesn’t try to escape—but was a stray Sven’s looking for a human who's around a lot: a retired bestie, a remote worker, or a household with staggered schedules. He’s not built for solitude. He’s built for love. Still young, still learning, still chill. Sven is ready for a furever home! He's located in Maryland and adoptable in the Eastern US. Transport can be arranged and Adopters are welcome to meet him at our rescue center. Sven is neutered, heartworm negative, current on vaccines and microchipped. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sven was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sven’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Sven’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sven’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
