Now he has spent 300 days in a kennel - watching other dogs go home while he waits… and waits… for that one special person to find him.At just over 5 years old and 60ish pounds, this lovable mix (lab, terrier, your guess?) is a perfect blend of gentle, smart, and affectionate. Whether it's greeting every person with a wagging tail and kisses, or snuggling up close at home, Dobby's goal is to love and be loved. He will lean into your touch, follow you with hopeful eyes, and remind you what it means to be truly chosen. Easygoing & House-ReadyDobby is a dream in the home: Housebroken Crate-trained Excellent at commands including "sit," "stay," and "down" Calm and relaxed throughout the dayWhen it’s time to play, Dobby’s ready! He loves tug-of-war and fetch, and he’s a pro at “leave it.” After playtime, he’s just as happy curling up for a nap in his bed—especially by a window or door where he can keep watch. He also loves to keep you company for car rides and walks in the woods or around a lake where he can sniff all the smells and dream of catching squirrels. People-Lover ExtraordinaireDobby is sweet and friendly with everyone he meets, kids included! He’s very treat-motivated (and takes them gently), and he’s the kind of pup who would love to snooze at the foot of your bed—or in his own bed nearby. Best as Your One & OnlyDobby can be dog-selective, so he'd thrive as the only pet in the home. But don’t worry—he has more than enough love to go around. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Dobby's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Dobby was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Dobby’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Dobby’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Dobby’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
