About this Dog
Meet adorable Edna a 1 year old, 29 lb., hound puppy mix. Edna is in foster care and learning and adapting every day to her neighborhood, friends and dogs. She is very affectionate and energetic and attaches quickly to everyone around her. She is loved very much by her foster parents and did well with all members of the boarding and doggie day care facility she attended when her foster parents occasionally left town, ie over the holidays. She’s playful, friendly, happy, accepts house guests well, and is so fun to be around! Edna is still learning basic commands. She does like to run and bark with the pack but can be easily settled with a variety of chew toys, as she will play quietly by herself for quite a while. She sleeps quietly through the night – yes, she will expect to sleep with you - and you can expect her to initiate contact as morning grows close.Edna enjoys going to parks, restaurants and breweries. She is good on leash but could use some on-leash training when she sees other dogs; she is lanky, fast and loves to run. She is mostly housetrained but needs ongoing reinforcement at her age but her healthy appetite will help with training. She is also very easy to re-direct. Edna adapts well to her surroundings, is an absolute joy to have in the house and is an excellent watch dog. She takes direction from older, mature, dogs well.Edna will play by herself in the backyard (we recommend a fenced yard for her because she loves to run) and keeps herself entertained when a human or other dog is not available to play. Importantly, she is quite the little lady when it comes to resources and never challenges her foster fur brother when food or treats are being distributed. She never growls or bares her teeth around other dogs.Edna is looking for a loving home with people and dog(s) who will play with her and show her tons of affection. She is a very sweet and happy girl who can't wait to find her forever home. She does bark regularly (but not excessively) so she may not be ideal for a close apartment/condo-type situation. She has no experience with children or cats so she may be best for a dog-experienced adult only home.PAW places animals in the Washington, DC/Baltimore Metropolitan area only.

Adopt Edna and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Edna's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Edna's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Edna, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Edna's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Edna was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Edna’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Edna’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Edna’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
