Currently Living at: Foster Adoption Fee: $300 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Looking for a furry companion who will bring joy, loyalty, and endless love into your home? Dexter (fondly called Snaggletooth) is the one for you! This sweet little guy had a rough few months. After likely being hit by a car, and his owner not located, we rescued him and covered surgery to repair his injuries. Now Dexter is healthy and ready to find his forever family. Here’s a little about him: Personality: Dexter is a big cuddle bug once he gets to know you and he loves to sleep under the covers! Training & Behavior: May need a refresher in housetraining. Health & Wellness: Neutered, up to date on vaccinations. Perfect Home: Any willing to give Dexter lots of love and cuddles! A home that will possibly let him sleep in a big bed! Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Dexter (aka Snaggletooth) was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Dexter (aka Snaggletooth)’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Dexter (aka Snaggletooth)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Dexter (aka Snaggletooth)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
