Age: 1 years old Size: 45 lbs Estimated breed: Labrador retriever/Shepherd mix Resident dog required as Cilantro is still working on building his self confidence. He is a very timid dog initially but with time and patience he warms up and loves. Cilantro was found dumped on the side of the road with his 6 littermates. They were completely emaciated and starved for food. Fortunately, a Good Samaritan picked them up and took them to the shelter, where they could finally eat and drink, but they still were not safe. We worked with another rescue to take the puppies into our care, and were able to bring Basil and Cilantro in foster care to wait for their forever homes! Basil did find a home, but Cilantro is still waiting patiently for his. He is a shy but sweet puppy who does great with other dogs and people! Since he is still young, he will need a forever family committed to working with him while he continues to learn everything he needs to know. He is also great with CATS!!!! For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cilantro was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cilantro’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Cilantro’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cilantro’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
