Meet Preston â Big Heart, Big Dog, Bigger SnugglesPreston is a 5-year-old, 78lb Black Mouth CurâShepherd mix who has been settling beautifully into foster care. At the shelter, he was quiet and reserved, but in a safe and loving home, his sweet personality is starting to shine. Preston is calm, affectionate, and deeply loyal once he feels comfortable.He loves sunny spots, couch snuggles, gentle walks (heâs amazing on leash!), and sticking to a routine. He rides well in the car, is respectful around other dogs, and is curious but not pushy with cats. Heâs especially gentle with older adults and has a soft spot for the ladies!Preston would thrive in a quiet home with few or no stairs due to some weakness in his back legs. A comfy cooling mat, a ramp for car rides would be a big help. He enjoys enrichment toys like Qwizls and large Kong ballsâbut no puzzle boxes please (he eats the paper!).This handsome, soulful boy is looking for a family that will be patient as he adjusts, and shower him with the love and structure he craves. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and *PRESTON was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, *PRESTON’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the *PRESTON’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, *PRESTON’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
