About this Cat
Tornado is a sweet boy who was rescued from outside of an autobody shop. Tornado has only ever known one person in his life, his former foster Mom, so he is understandably scared of new people and situations. But Tornado is a lover boy once he does get to know you and feels comfortable. His foster Mom said he is just a big baby :)Tornado will need a person or family who understands how to coax a scared kitty out of his shell and who will work with Tornado at his own pace. Tornado would love to be adopted with his sister, Kammie, who he has lived with all his life. Just a note about Tornado's eye -- when he was rescued, he had a severe eye infection as a kitten. His eye is cloudy due to that prior infection, but he can see just fine and it does not require any treatment. Interested in adopting a kitty?!The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an adoption application, which is located on our website at: www.rescueandadopt.org/adopt. Please remember to include:1) Your $15 adoption deposit, which will be subtracted from the adoption fee, if you are approved to adopt.2) Vet records for any current cats or dogs in the home. For cats, we require that they are up to date on their rabies and FVRCP vaccines and seen for an annual wellness exam. For dogs, we require that they are up to date on their rabies vaccine and seen for an annual wellness exam. 3) Permission from your landlord if you rent from a private landlord. We can verify pet policies at apartment complexes. 4) Proof of home ownership if you do NOT live in Maryland. Adoption fees: $150 for kittens and cats under 5 years old. $125 for cats 5 years old and over. We do offer a 15% discount for adopting 2 ADULT cats (over 1 year old) at once, and for certain professions -- first responders, teachers and active or former members of the military.
