About this Dog
Meet Gus – an 8-year-old Pekingese whose name fits him just right. This short, round, flat-faced little gentleman is as charming as they come, with a face made for snuggles and a personality to match. Gus has truly mastered the art of the waddle – his duck-like strut is equal parts adorable and heart-melting, especially when he waddles his way right into your lap (and your heart).Right now, Gus is sporting a shaved look due to some matting when he arrived, but don’t worry – his luxurious coat will grow back with time, and he’ll need regular grooming to keep it looking its best. He also has a heart murmur, and he takes gabapentin to help manage some back and neck pain, which is currently a long-term treatment for him. Neither of these slow him down from living his best snuggle life.Gus is happiest curled up beside you under a cozy blanket, soaking up the quiet comforts of home. If you're looking for a loyal, low-key companion who’s all about warmth, wags, and waddles, Gus is your guy. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: acskc.org/adoption/adoption-applicationOnce your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! We welcome adopters from out of state to apply! _When it comes to our pets, we're all-inclusive! Adopt Gus and Receive Gus's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Gus's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Gus's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Gus, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Gus's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Gus was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Gus’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Gus’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Gus’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
