About this Dog
Meet Saila – a 2-year-old probably-sorta-kinda Labrador Retriever mix with the soul of a stage-five clinger and the tongue of a champion drool distributor. If you’ve ever wished your shadow was a little warmer, fuzzier, and wetter… Saila’s your girl. This sweetheart is what we lovingly call a VELCRO dog. She doesn’t just want to be near you — she wants to merge with you. If she could, she’d unzip your hoodie and crawl right in. Alone time? She’s never heard of it. Personal space? She ate it.Now, about that “Labrador” part, listen, we’re not entirely sure what Saila is mixed with. Could be a Great Pyrenees. Could be a Golden Retriever. Could be a Beagle. Honestly, she may not even be a Lab. She’s just a mystery mutt with a heart of gold, a lot of floof, and a soul built for snuggling. She came to us after being heartbreakingly dumped on the streets when her family moved back to Cuba. Understandably, that left some emotional baggage behind, mainly in the form of constant cuddling, intense eye contact, and needing to know where you are at all times. Forever.Saila also comes with a… moisture feature. Due to an old tracheal injury that healed a bit wonky, she’s not great at holding in her slobber. Is it her fault she leaves a little trail of love wherever she goes? Absolutely not. She simply prefers to share her joy—one damp kiss and chin-drip at a time. You’ll never need lotion again. Just a towel. Or twelve. Her old injury won’t slow her down much more than that, she just needs to be walked on a harness and loved by someone who enjoys being slightly damp, deeply adored, and never alone in the bathroom again. But don’t worry—Saila is more than just cling and drool. She loves food (seriously, it’s a love language), and while she isn’t going to win any speed-walking competitions, she walks very nicely on leash at her own laid-back pace. Slow and steady wins the snack.Come meet Saila. Bring snacks. And a mop. Adopt Saila and Receive Saila's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Saila's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Saila's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Saila, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Saila's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Saila was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Saila’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Saila’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Saila’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
