Hi, I’m Melman — and yes, these puppy eyes are 100% real. I’m an 8-month-old (as of June 2025) Lab/Pointer mix and currently tipping the scales at 40 pounds of pure puppy enthusiasm (with plenty more growing to do!). I have legs for days, a tail that never stops wagging, and a look that could melt the coldest heart. Seriously — people keep staring into my eyes and forgetting what they were saying. It’s kind of my superpower.I’m confident, playful, and I approach life like it's one big adventure. Mud puddles? Excellent. Toys? The louder the better. Snuggles? I’m all in. But don’t let my goofy side fool you — I have a heart as big as my paws. I’m just a baby still, figuring out this whole “being a good boy” thing. All I really want is someone who sees me, loves me, and wants to be my forever person.If you're looking for a big-hearted goofball who will grow into your best friend (and possibly take up half your couch), I’m your guy.Let’s do life together.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Melman was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Melman’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Melman’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Melman’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
