About this Dog
Name: Luna Approximate breed: mix Gender: Female Approximate age: 2.5 years Approximate weight: TBD lbs Vetted/Vaccinated: Up to date Spayed/Neutered: Yes Good with Children: Yes Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Yes Housetrained: Yes Crate Trained: Unknown Ideal Family: Any Adoption Fee: $550 Introducing Luna! Luna had a home and a family in Puerto Rico, but because she wasn’t spayed, she became pregnant, and the family abandoned her... Luckily an amazing neighbor took her in and gave her a place to give birth safely while they arranged future plans with rescue workers. In Puerto Rico, a lack of spaying/neutering for a streak of years has led to a huge influx of dogs lacking homes and care, so like many US rescues, NELR has pledged to help when possible, and when we were contacted about Mama Luna and her litter, we were happy we could help! Luna received lots of love and pampering while her puppies were experiencing nothing but the sights, smells, sounds, and care of a loving foster home since birth (and we are so grateful for that!), and all spent time around humans of all ages, and other pets. Unfortunately, it can be tricky to get these dogs on flights due to the weather, so Luna has been patiently waiting in PR, but has finally arrived safely in New England!! She’s getting used to her surroundings after such a huge move, but she’s very sweet and greeting everyone – humans, dogs, even the cat! – very nicely. Luna’s pups have all found loving New England homes (except Adoptable Bruno, who also had to wait for a flight!) and now, a happy, healthy, spayed Mama Luna is ready to find her forever home to be someone’s baby for a change! She’s a uniquely beautiful girl that is going to make such an impressive and loving family member to some lucky person/people! Does Luna sound like the sweetie for you? If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending. We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes. We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.

Adopt Luna Cayo and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Luna Cayo's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Luna Cayo's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Luna Cayo, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Luna Cayo's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Luna Cayo was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Luna Cayo’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Luna Cayo’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Luna Cayo’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
