Birdie – our brave and beautiful girl, is healing well after amputation surgery and is ready to find her fur-ever home At around 10 years old, gentle Birdie has been through quite a journey. After needing a leg amputation, this quiet girl has healed beautifully and is learning to walk around with growing confidence each day. If you don’t remember her story, she was found as a stray with a very mangled leg. She may only have three legs now, but she has a heart full of love and resilience. Birdie is a calm girl and gets along wonderfully with other cats and kittens. She is: Spayed Microchipped Up-to-date on all vaccines FIV/FeLV and heartworm negative Fecal tested negative Had full wellness bloodwork— all normal! Birdie is ready for love, and waiting for a soft place to land. Could your home be the one her sweet little wings have been looking for? The $75.00 adoption fee ( payable by cash or check only ) includes: spay/neuter; vaccinations; senior bloodwork, microchip; fecal testing w/ giardia, flea prevention, and FIV/FeLV testing. Cats for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Birdie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Birdie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Birdie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Birdie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Birdie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
