NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 6/21/2025: Mateo - male - DOB 12/10/2024 - 6.6 pounds - Schnauzer Reason for intake: Here we are with another LEG issue! This little guy came to us via a rescue friend. Apparently, he jumped off of a deck and hurt his left rear leg and it's pretty much just dangling. We don't know how old the injury is but he's not in pain, so it may be old. If it's old, we may have no other choice but to amputate. He's heading to our vet on 6/24/2025 for neutering and everything else, including assessing the leg. NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mateo (NOT YET AVAILABLE) was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mateo (NOT YET AVAILABLE)’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Mateo (NOT YET AVAILABLE)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mateo (NOT YET AVAILABLE)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
