About this Dog
Chip is a young adult terrier mix, who has found himself and his adopted brother, Elroy, in need of a new home. You see, he came to SPCHS when he was just a pup, was adopted quickly. Now, a little over 2 and a half years later, his adopters are both working, he's home alone up to 10 hours each workday, his pet parents don't feel that's fair to him. He's also learned how to scale their 6-foot privacy fence (presumably to go looking for his pet parents) when no one is there to supervise him -- putting him at risk of being hit by a car or encountering a neighbor with a shotgun. Even more challenging for his current pet parents, his terrier instinct makes it impossible for him to resist chasing and sometimes catching the cats in his home... that's dangerous for the cats! Chip is 3 years old, neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on shots. He is high energy when outdoors, but inside is pretty relaxed. Chip is great around children -- though he might be a bit to energetic to be with children under 3 or 4. He's very athletic and would do well with an active family in which someone will be home most of the time to supervise and play with him when he's outdoors. He is also a big time snuggler who wants to be as close to you as he can be. He’s very sweet and sensitive, and he’s definitely at his best when he has someone he loves with him. Let him sit with you on the couch or bed and he’s in heaven. He’s good on a leash and is crate trained. Chip needs his time outside and loves to run and play with other dogs, toys and best of all - interactive play with humans. Chip is very smart, sweet, affectionate, well behaved, fun, and happy boy. He loves to be involved in anything that we are doing. His happy place is sitting right beside you. He loves outdoor activities and being able to run full speed. He’s just a great dog -- he's not a barker or whiner.

Adopt Chip and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Chip's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Chip's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Chip, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Chip's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Chip was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Chip’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Chip’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Chip’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
