About this Dog
Meet Denver – Your Loyal, Big-Hearted Shadow Denver is a 7-year-old liver and white male Brittany with a gentle soul and an even bigger heart—he’s also a big boy at 64 lbs and working on losing about 15 more pounds to reach his ideal weight. This sweet, affectionate guy is the perfect blend of mellow maturity and loyal companionship. Denver is a true Velcro dog—he always wants to know where his humans and cats are, and he’ll be right by your side wherever you go. At night, he sleeps in bed with his foster mom, content just being close. He gets along beautifully with his foster dog sisters and the resident cats and is a respectful presence around the house. He’s not crate trained, but he doesn’t need to be—Denver is completely trustworthy when left alone. He won’t get into anything or cause trouble while you’re away. Foster mom says Denver needs to learn to be quiet when she leaves the house. He can be very vocal and unhappy when alone, but he eventually settles down. . He definitely lets you know he’s not a fan of being solo! Denver also has a spirited side when it comes to squirrels. If he spots one, watch out! He goes all-in on chasing them and can get a little vocal inside the house until the squirrel is out of sight. He loves car rides and is known to sneak into the front seat whenever he gets the chance—he just wants to be as close as possible to his humans! Despite his vocal moments, Denver has a playful side! He loves to play ball—just don’t expect him to bring it back! He prefers a game of chase and thinks it’s hilarious when you come after him. He also knows exactly where the toy basket is and won’t hesitate to empty it one toy at a time to find his favorite. Regular walks and a fenced yard to stretch his legs will help Denver stay healthy and happy as he works on his weight. After some outdoor fun, he’s more than ready to snuggle up for a good nap. Denver would thrive in a home that offers companionship, gentle structure, and lots of love. He’s already a pro at being a loyal, low-maintenance companion—you just need to meet him to see it. If you think Denver would be a great addition to your family, please reach out to Neca Hudgins [email protected] or Karlie Haynes [email protected] NBRAN will transport adopted dogs up to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for the last approximately 100 miles. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the KY/Denver II’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, KY/Denver II’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
