About this Dog
We adopted Boots from a local rescue this February, and she has been an absolute joy as a family pet. She’s wonderful on leash walks—even letting our five-year-old walk her—loves playing in the yard, and is gentle and affectionate with us, our children, and the many visitors we’ve had in our home. She has never shown any territorial behavior around food or toys, has a wonderful temperament, and is truly a snuggle bug who loves to play and be with her people.
Sadly, Boots and our other dog, who has been with us for several years, recently had an altercation. This was the first incident we’ve had, and we believe it was isolated, but in fairness to both dogs, we don’t feel they can safely continue living in the same home.
We love Boots dearly, and our priority is finding the right home where she can be happy and thrive. She is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations.

How will Boots receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Boots, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Boots's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Boots was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Boots’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Boots’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Boots’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
