About this Dog
Dori is a beautiful adult dog looking for her PYRfect forever home. This lady does not know a stranger and has managed to win the love of everyone she meets! If you ask her whether a blind dog is “special needs,” she will tell you that she sure doesn’t think so! She had one eye removed due to a congenital disease in April and she hasn’t missed a beat. Her other eye isn’t functional, but you’d never know it because even though Dori can’t see, once she has a chance to get the “map of the place,” she has no trouble patrolling her home and yard – she is a super smart, well behaved, and loving girl! She came to rescue after being dumped in a shelter but says there are only blue skies now! Dori simply loves people; when she goes to the vet, she will throw herself down, showing her belly for rubs! She gets so excited and happy, and will sit up on her haunches, placing her front paws on your hands for love and attention. She then will run zoomies around the yard showing how much she appreciates you! Afterwards, it’s chill-time for this low-energy gal. Dori dreams of hanging with her person under a shade tree sipping cold drinks, or by the fireplace with a hot cup of cocoa. She is also happy to go for a ride in the car for an adventure. She walks on a leash, and loves spa days, getting brushed and manicures – she is truly a queen! This girl does great with the other dogs but says “no cats please and leave the roughhousing to the youngsters,” so she would do best with an easy-going male, or would be content as an only dog. The perfect home for Dori would be with a 4-foot fenced yard and a family who has the time, love and attention for her – is that you? Dori promises she will be forever devoted to you, showering her family with love!
