About this Dog
*** Check Out My Video Album Below! *** Meet Annabelle, a young female Pyrenees with a heart as big as her fluffy paws! This friendly fur-ball is housebroken and loves soaking up all the attention she can get. Annabelle is underweight and getting lots of good groceries in foster care, and she’s on her way to her ideal adult weight of at least 95 pounds – more to love, right?! Rescued from a life of roaming freely with her brothers, Annabelle is a gentle soul who gets along famously with other animals, including cats. When she met the resident kitties, she had no real interest in them, but was quite gentle when they approached her, and then she just walked away. She might be a bit shy around new people at first, but once she warms up, she's all about the love, leaning in for attention and pets. Her M.O. is to put her head on your lap or the arm of the chair, and then raise it up so you can pet every inch of her. Annabelle is a quiet explorer (we’ve never heard her bark!), enjoying her yard adventures and play time with other dogs. She's a model citizen with no destructive behavior, doesn’t dig, and adapts well to crate time. She did very well during her grooming session, patiently standing there while the burrs were clipped from her ears, tail and rump. And she did great for her ear cleaning and nail trim too! This lovely lady is looking for a forever home filled with love and attention. She'd be thrilled to have another playful dog or a cat as a companion and a secure, 5-foot fenced yard. Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
