About this Cat
Rae is around 8 years old and is looking for a quiet, loving home after recently losing her person. My father passed away unexpectedly, and Rae was one of his constant companions. He spent most of his time at home with his cats, so she was very used to having him there every day. She has been through a lot of change and would do best in a slower, peaceful home where she can settle in at her own pace.
Rae is currently a little on the chunky side because, admittedly, my dad spoiled her quite a bit. Nothing that a little more activity and fewer treats can’t help! She has not been around children, so I think a calm, adult home would be the best fit for her.
I am also posting Rae’s “sister,” Jo, who is around the same age. They have lived together for years, and I would really love to see them stay together if possible. They have already lost their person and the home they knew, so finding someone willing to give both of them a safe, loving place to land would mean so much.

How will Rae receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Rae, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Rae's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rae was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rae’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Rae’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rae’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
