About this Cat
Jo is around 8 years old and is looking for a quiet, loving home after recently losing her person. My father passed away unexpectedly, and Jo was one of his constant companions. He spent most of his time at home, so she was very used to having him there with her every day. She has been through a lot of change in a short amount of time and deserves a home where she can feel safe and settled again. Jo has not been around children and would do best in a slower, quieter environment with someone willing to give her time to adjust.
I am also posting Jo’s “sister,” Rae, who is around the same age. They have lived together for years, and while I would love to find the right home for each of them, I think they would do especially well if they could stay together. After losing their person and the home they knew, it would be wonderful if they could at least have each other through their next chapter.

How will Jo receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Jo, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Jo's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Jo was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Jo’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Jo’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Jo’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
