About this Cat
I’m hoping to find a wonderful home for two adorable young cats that I rescued about two months ago. They were living as strays and appeared to be traveling together when I brought them in. Since then, they have been neutered, vaccinated, and have done an excellent job using the litter box. I’ve named them Whiskers and Scout, and while I can’t say for certain that they are bonded, they are definitely great friends and enjoy being together. Ideally, I would love to see them adopted as a pair. I estimate that they are around a year old. Both are friendly, playful, and affectionate with people. They are still learning and settling into indoor life, but they have been very well-behaved overall. They have not been around dogs or children, so a home without young children may be the best fit. One of them has been a little hesitant around my other cats, while the other seems more open to feline companionship. I already have a full house of pets and simply can’t keep them, despite wanting to. Unfortunately, I haven’t had much luck finding them a home locally. How will Scout and Whiskers receive the contribution?

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Scout and Whiskers was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Scout and Whiskers’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Scout and Whiskers’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Scout and Whiskers’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
