About this Cat
Perry is very shy and timid. We received him from a farm when he was already a couple months old. When we first got him he was very scared but eventually got used to us and our 3 others cats just fine, but if you accidentally took the wrong step he wouldn’t come near you for about 24 hours or until he felt comfortable again. We then had to move and couldn’t take all 4 cats so we put him and our other cat with my mom while the other two came with me. While in the process he lost trust in us because we had to chase to be able to put him in the kennel. He NEVER liked being picked up so we wouldn’t but when the food or treats wouldn’t work we tried to pick i’m up and he went crazy and ever since then he has been very wary of us. We had to move him around one more time since then and it’s been months nothings has changed. We plan on moving again and i just don’t think we are a right fit for him as much as we want to be. We have tried to find friends or family that would take him in but have had no luck. We tried to avoid shelters because we know that it could stress him out more and I really don’t want that but i’m just not sure what else to do when we’re also just not in the best position to put our time to gain his trust again when we are constantly doing things.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and perry was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, perry’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the perry’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, perry’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
