Starling is a female, approximate 8 lbs., Bearded Collie mix puppy born in our rescue on June 2, 2025. She will 10 weeks old on August 11. Starling is a sweet little girl that loves playing with other dogs and toys. She is still young so needs to work on house training and kennel training Starling and her brother Crow are in a foster home with a teenaged girl and a crew of foster brothers and sisters. She is very confident for her age; she was the first to run into the grass, tackle stairs and take a dip in the puppy pool. She is the instigator of all puppy mischievous schemes and the first to crash once she’s cause maximum chaos! She is a bit more independent and the most likely to go off on her own for a quick nap or an investigation in the back yard. Her momma is 35 lbs., and we don't know who daddy is, but we expect Starling to be a medium sized dog full grown, likely under 45 lbs. she has the cutest scruffy little face and her coat is a bit coarse, more like her mother’s coat than many of her smooth coated siblings. Starling will do well with dogs, cats, and kids with supervised introductions, training, and experience. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Starling was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Starling’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Starling’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Starling’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
