Chickadee is a female, approximate 8 lbs., Bearded Collie mix puppy born in our rescue on June 2, 2025. She is 10 weeks old on August 11. Chickadee is a sweet little girl that loves playing with other dogs and toys. She is still young so needs to work on house training and kennel training. Her momma is 35 lbs., and we don't know who daddy is, but we expect Chickadee to be a medium sized dog full grown, likely under 45 lbs. Chickadee will do well with dogs, cats, and kids with supervised introductions, training, and experience. She is a gentle, beautiful, scruffy brindle girl who loves to run in the grass and play outside. Her favorite game is tug of war. She enjoys neck scratches, while being right next to her people. She enjoys cuddle time and will be a fantastic family companion. She enjoys the company of the canine fur siblings in her foster home but is a bit shy around the largest dog. Chickadee would likely do well with another dog who is gentle and respectful and gives her time to make friends. Chickadee's gentle, playful nature will make her an amazing member of any family. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Chickadee was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Chickadee’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Chickadee’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Chickadee’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
