Soot is a beautiful 6 year old large male, long haired cat that would prefer to spend his days in your arms or perched on your shoulders. He is a little shy at first, but once he knows he is safe he will seek you out for affection. He loves to be brushed and is good for the occasional bath time and nail trims. Soot has lived with other animals but would probably do best as an only cat or with dogs that leave him alone which is okay because he has enough love for the whole family! Soot's adoption fee is $85 and includes his neuter, current vaccines and FeLV/FIV testing plus a microchip. Soot is seeking an indoor only home, if you would like to meet him please submit an adoption application through our wesbite Adopthope.org. Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept any other animals as indoor pets only, altered and kept current on annual vaccines & vet care. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and home visit.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Soot was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Soot’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Soot’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Soot’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
