About this Dog
Miss Palmer is a petite little 2-3 yr old Bluetick mix weighing a mere 40 lbs. She is kennel trained and doesn't potty in the house, but is still working on keeping her kennel dry overnight. She will need a fenced in yard, as her hound dog nose carries her in every direction. As with most hounds, she is a counter surfer, but what a maid service she can perform in your kitchen for you! :) Palmer is a very mellow hound who seldom barks or bays, but will occasionally "WOOWOOO!" when she wants something. She can be a little timid meeting new people but quickly warms up. So far, she hasn't met a dog that she doesn't like. We have introduced Palmer to cats briefly and she was very calm and showed no reaction to cats of various ages and activity levels, so she could likely live with cats easily. Palmer is a low/medium energy dog, and is just as happy to nap all day as she is to explore. Her hobbies include napping, sniffing and sniffing some more. If you would like to meet Palmer, please submit an adoption application through our website, Adopthope.org Palmer's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccines and heartworm testing plus a free basic training course at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha. Palmer is seeking an indoor only home, we do require that applicants have a history of having kept any former/current pets; altered current on vaccines and preventatives and as indoor pets only. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.

Adopt Palmer and Receive Palmer's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Palmer's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Palmer's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Palmer, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Palmer's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Palmer was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Palmer’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Palmer’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Palmer’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
