About this Dog
Porkchop!! This handsome dude is around 4 years old, and 60 pounds of personality! Porkchop is seeking a super stable home, with an experienced dog owner. He can be your couch potato partner if you bribe him with belly rubs, or your backyard companion helping to rid the yard of birds and squirrels (and tennis balls, too!). Porkchop is super food motivated, so it was easy to train him to sit and we know he'll do great learning lots of other new commands. He loves to be with his person, and can be somewhat standoffish with new people or situations. Porkchop will need to be your only dog in the home, or possibly paired with a very docile and confident larger female dog. Pushy or over friendly dogs don't mesh well with his personality. No kids or cats for Porkchop, please! Porkchop can be a vocal dog, he will talk and grumble at you to let you know what he's thinking - we think it’s pretty cute! Porkchop's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip and current vaccinations and preventatives PLUS a free basic obedience course at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires that potential adopters current animals be altered, current on vaccinations and preventatives and be kept as indoor pets only. Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a vet check and a home visit. Please submit an adoption application for consideration through our website.

Adopt Porkchop and Receive Porkchop's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Porkchop's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Porkchop's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Porkchop, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Porkchop's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Porkchop was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Porkchop’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Porkchop’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Porkchop’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
